In the plural tantivies an interjection. A tantivy is a gallop. To ride tantivy is a hunting term for riding at full gallop.
As an adverb, tantivy means "swiftly, headlong."
Tantivies> (plural) is a hunting cry when the chase is at full gallop, thought by some to be in imitation of the sound of the hunting horn, by others in imitation of the sound of hoof-beats.

Our president rides hard on the hunt, tantivy, against the hounds of hell, chasing down the beast that seeks to devour us.
Used to be, the east coast traditional colleges were actually religious schools, teaching the arts and sciences of the western world. Tain’tIvy League any more. Now, they are anti-west, pro-communist bastions of atheism.
