For the fourth time in as many days, Russian military planes have flown too close to the U.S. for comfort. Each night this week starting Monday, the Russian military has sent planes flying towards Alaska. The planes have remained in international airspace for the length of their journeys, but have gotten as close as 36 nautical miles off the Alaskan mainland.

They get too close and Sara may get out the skeet gun.

WE should put up a 20,000 foot high six foot thick plexiglass “wall”.

Four days in a row is something amazing for the Russian air force’s maintenance crews! I truly didn’t think they could put aircraft in the air that many days in a row.

Comrade Putin is merely looking for new locations for his shirtless beefcake photos. His fan club will be suitably thrilled.

Don’t be an ass.

We have a governor who has or is making a transgender appointee right now.

Give me Palin any day.

Big deal. This is not particularly worrisome to me. The N. Korean nuts and China are definitely a concern of mine. There is heightened media attention on everything Russian at this time in large part because of the Trump-Russian issue, but militarily, I don’t see much to get concerned about, really. They are testing and probing and spying. They are Russians - that what they do! We aren’t shocked or surprised, I assure you.

Because the Death Cult (neocons) sense that Trump can be goaded into the apocalyptic conflict they desire. Why they want it, I don't know. But they declare "crisis" over things the Russians, Norks, and USA have routinely done for 65 years. And Trump & Tillerson seem to be swallowing the bait.

I love Sarah Palin for her spirit and her consistent conservatism. But you gotta admit, saying she can see Russia from her backyard, was giving the comedians big fodder.

these Russian aircraft were “state of art” in 1960s, now at a cruise speed of 390 knots they are toys against the latest jet fighters....

I don’t think she ever said it. Tina Fey did in an SNL skit.

That was not what Sarah Palin said. She was talking about Little Diomede Island, which is in Alaska, and from there being able to see Big Diomede Island, which is in Russia. You fell for the leftists changing peoples’ words around.

You are being sarcastic, right? Sarah Palin said you can see Russia from Alaska (correct). Tina Fey's parody said she could see it from her backyard. A 'nonsensical joke' that only resonated with Palin haters.

The trick is to withhold the vodka rations, while at the same time promising much larger vodka rations (and maybe some loose women) if they actually do their jobs for 4 days (or a week, we’ll see how long this continues).

Putin is doing this for show - I rather doubt that the bombers are even loaded with deliverable weapons. It is his only way of saving face after not shooting down any of our slow-moving cruise missiles with the “vaunted” S-400 AA missile system that they have in Syria.

FYI, I’d love to see how much new underwear the Russkies would need if we started flying BUFFs 30-odd miles off of their coast. Methinks that the Soviet, err, Russian flights would stop pretty soon.
