The officer said the man, who'd quietly refused to pay his bill, became loud and obnoxious when officers arrived. When one officer, speaking to him in Spanish, told him he would be pat frisked, he allegedly slurred: "If I had a gun, I would've shot you, you guys would already be dead."

So the restaurant supports him. Of course, he is a regular and they have to protect their bartender.

The city of Boston spent how many millions to teach the Boston cops to speak Spanish? LOL

It didn’t work.

You mean their license: The licensing board decides Thursday whether the restaurant could have done anything to prevent the incident ...

Absolutely. What does a license cost there now?

I heard there were two different licenses. A lower priced one if you were sending money to Sinn Fein. Much lower.

A sheriffs deputy in my county died as a result of being bitten by a criminal. The deputy contracted hepatitis C and died years later from it. His name was added to the memorial for fallen officers. I hope those Boston cops give that illegal a “wooden shampoo” before they turn him over to ICE for deportation.

They aren't really supporting him, they are just trying to do a little CYA before they appear before the licensing board.

"She said the man never appeared drunk and that she does not know what happened in his interactions with police to set him off."

A BPD sergeant who also responded to the scene, however, said the guy was "extremely intoxicated ... he was very, very drunk."

In this case I think the BPD sergeant is likely to be a much more reliable witness.
