Easter Sunday got off to an unusually cold start across Sweden with three weather records broken as some towns experienced their chilliest April night in decades.
Southern Sweden saw unseasonably cold temperatures, with up to 10 cm of snow in northern Skåne, Blekinge, Kronoberg, Halland and Kalmar.
In Örebro, the mercury dropped to 14°C, making it the coldest April night since 1944, according to P4 Örebro.
In Karlstad, Swedens meteorological institute SMHI said temperatures reached 9°C, meaning it was the coldest night of April since 1985.

Freezing snow. Sure sign of global warming.
I am 100 percent sure that some “expert” will say exactly this.
Probably “Global Warming Snow” .... the worst kind.
But I thought by now the children would be seeing no more snow, and would grow up not knowing what snow it.
Think of the children!
And the women!
And the minorities!
These are the groups that are hurt worst by global warming!
And I’m series.
(And BTW, I’m also still VERY worried about Guam tipping over.)
In 10 years, Manhattan will be under water.
Of course, he said that 15 years ago.
Apparently early crops are being devastated by latest cold blast.
Maybe this will encourage ‘refugees’ to GO HOME.
Pray to Allah that it warms up, Swedes.
Islamic hell is freezing over?
Wait for it. Some numnut is gonna claim it.
It’s really easy to prove global warming.
Take recorded temperature readings from 1875 - 2025. (Don’t worry about the numbers since 2015, we’ll use projections for those.) Now, take the data from before 1930, and adjust it down by a tenth of a degree per year going back (since we know that the earlier measurements aren’t as precise, we need to do these adjustment to get accurate readings for the earlier years. For example, our corrected numbers for 1875 are going to be approximately 5.5 degrees below the actual recordings. Use this 5.5 degree baseline through 1910, then converge so the adjusted numbers match actual readings for 1940 through 1985. From 1985 through 2008, adjust up a tenth of a degree a year. 2008 - 2015 use actual data (since Obama was president, and we didn’t have global warming under him), then from 2015 to 2020, project an increase of 1 degree a year (from 2007), and from 2025 project 3 degrees a year increase each year. Chart the resulting numbers, and global warming will be obvious to anyone who sees the numbers.
Think I can get a job with a major university?
Must be all that global warming.
No surprise here. Al Gore warned us that Global Warming could cause planetary cooling.
Notice we haven’t been seeing that many hurricanes along the US east coast over the last 2-3 years. One possible reason is that ocean temperatures haven’t been high enough to support them.
The thing which keeps northern Europe habitable is the warmth which the Gulf Stream current transports from the Gulf area to the north. If that ever fails, a new Ice Age in Europe will begin very quickly.
That's because snow becomes a "blanket" that covers everything and makes it all so toasty warm....
More climate change! < /sarc >
Global Warming on Free Republic here, here and here
It’s been cold here in Alaska too. Just BARELY missed a record of the temp not getting above freezing in March, by the last day! It warmed up for a couple weeks, and now it’s cold again.
I hate globull warming!
