Especially in the south, like Phuket. It's been a problem for ages - separatists. I was in the northeast. There were some Muslim butchers (beef/chicken) who used to relax by throwing knives at trees. I guess the pork butchers were Chinese.

Thailand is 95% Buddist and the muslims wore out their welcome long ago. Quoting Morning Joe’s Mika’s favorite phrase: words mean something. US citizen Lohan could be perceived promoting islam in a country that has been at a low-level civil war with islam since 2004.
