This morning, Brent Cooper, district attorney for Maury County, Tennessee, asked members of the public to share the Amber Alert with friends and family in Mexico and Central America, adding that Mexican law enforcement was notified of the Amber Alert and "it's possible that's where they are."
Cooper said Cummins "planned this in such a way that he had a 24-hour head start ... easily enough time for him to make it to Mexico."

I’ve followed/posted this story from the beginning.
I’m no Sgt Joe Friday but my best guess is she’s too afraid.
He has two handguns on him and probably said “I”ll kill your family if you leave me”
My theory is she may have had a “crush” on him but he got very possessive to the point where she could not get away or ask for help. Then on top of everything else the school fails her by not firing him when he is caught kissing her. If it were not for bad luck this child would have no luck at all.
Yes her instragam status was changed to “married” now am wondering who did this? Her or him? He has complete control over her mind.
God help this child, I pray she comes home alive.

Now that it is evident that kissing event actually occurred, it is easy to say that he should have been fired.
However, the kissing event was only witnessed by one person and both kissing participants denied the allegation.
The investingartion should have gone further but there was not sufficient evidence to fire him.
Too late for that. On his internet page he said he was a “Jesus Freak”.
Plus he and his wife were taking Elizabeth to church.
I bet the Mexican police will catch him. An American guy with no visa, a young girl, and handguns are is not welcome in Mexico. There is a good chance that one of his new neighbors in Mexico will tell the cops that there is a suspicious illegal alien in the area.

We don’t know that he does not have a passport and remember he was well planned out for this. He may be able to produce one if asked.
It’s her that does not have a passport and even that I’m not sure of. If he thought out every thing then say may have one too.
It doesn't matter! That's the beauty of the leftist cult of multiculturalism - its all powerful! Only the claim needs to be made. No proof, intent or sincerity needs to be provided at all! Its like a political neutron bomb. Leaves the people standing, but kills all rational thought.

I am not sure what the legal requirement would be in such a case but keeping the father from killing the teacher would likely have been, at the time, the least financially risky option for the school district.
Still though am going with the police on this one. He’s going to pretend to be a missionary. He likes power and control as a missionary he will have this, a captive audience just like when he was a “teacher”. Plus Mexico is more Catholic country not Islamic.

Right now her father could shot the man on live TV and not a jury in the United States would find him guilty.
If the police say they are in Mexico, it only means one thing and that is, they are not in Mexico.
They float the Mexico theory and the perp comes out of his cabin in Kentucky for a breath of fresh air and a bottle of Boone’s Farm for the girl.
That’s when they nab him.
Well of corse, but at the time the school took the least risky option and they and the girl lost.
And that’s a bigger lawsuit!
I think he’s in a “sanctuary city” in Mexico.
Those Mexicans have big hearts.
