I thought the name of that song was “heart of glass”.

That is correct, the name of the song is “Heart of Glass” - as any Blondie fan would instantly recognize.

The name is “Heart of Glass”.
I remember being shocked by hearing Debbie rhyme the phrase
‘Heart of Glass’ with
‘Pain in the Ass’.
That was shocking for 1978! The music was so enjoyable that most people overlooked it.

Notice she didn’t feel pressured to get any silicone implants. She didn’t really need to do that, was still very attractive and feminine in her natural state.

If you played that song for Blondie herself, she would tell you the name of the song is “Heart of Glass”. I could ask her directly if need be, but I already know the answer.

I don’t know what album cover that is but I’m still pretty sure the son debuted on the Parallel Lines album as track 10 “Heart of Glass”.

I had to look it up, but "Once I had a Love" pre-dated "Heart of Glass" as the title. When they recorded Parallel Lines, they changed the name and beat/feel of the song.

I found an extended version made for discos of this song in an album bin for $1. It was in pristine condition and lasts almost half an hour. Good buy.

I consulted her with my Ouija board. She said that version was called Once I Had a Love...then she rereleaswd it as a different version with disco style back beat and it was decided Heart Of Glass would market better so that is what happened.

And she said I was hot in the 80’s with my parachute pants.

I always liked that song. I think I saw it live on some TV show, but that was a long time ago.

Personal life and career beginnings
Deborah Harry was born in Miami, Florida, and then adopted at three months of age by Richard Smith and Catherine (née Peters) Harry, gift shop proprietors in Hawthorne, New Jersey.[4] She attended Hawthorne High School, where she graduated in 1963. She graduated from Centenary College in Hackettstown, New Jersey, with an Associate of Arts degree in 1965. Before starting her singing career, she moved to New York City in the late 1960s and worked as a secretary at BBC Radio’s office there for one year. Later, she was a waitress at Max’s Kansas City, a go-go dancer in a Union City, New Jersey discothèque, and a Playboy Bunny.
