Extended 'Ghost in the Shell' Clip Shows Off the Cyber of It All

Five minutes of the cyberpunk story have been released online. Those unsure about how the live-action Ghost of the Shell will approach its cultural heritage need only watch a newly released five-minute clip from the movie to see that it fully embraces the "cyber"-ness of it all.

While I’ve become a big fan of anime and its spinoffs, I am not going to spend any of my money on any movie featuring the execrable Scarlett Johansson.

I was never a fan of rotoscoping. I think it even gives me seizures.

I own the entire Ghost in the Shell collection on Blu-Ray (not a cheap thing to procure, I can tell you), and it is my favorite series from Japan.

But I will not watch the live-action movie for one main reason: Scarlett Johanssen, who plays the lead role of Maj. Motoko Kusanagi, spoke at the March for Womyn. Thus I am boycotting any movie in which she plays a role.

Why should I give my money to people who hate me?

Somehow I doubt the movie will do justice to the original Masamune Shirow manga or the Mimoru Oshi anime series and movies, especially GiTS 2015.

Just having Johansson in it is a slap in the face to the lead character as portrayed in the anime series as far as I'm concerned, and not due to her not being Asian which is what the cognoscenti all had their panties in a wad over.

At least they don't have the Aflac duck (aka weeping Ben batman) as Bato.
