Hope you enjoy. Sledgehammer
Music *ping*
Gabriel’s first Number 1 hit in the US.
And who did he replace at Number 1? His former band, Genesis’ “Invisible Touch.”
Oh my taking me back!!!
I loved the video
Trump is our sledgehammer!
Yep.
Thanks for this great memory, I was still in my 20s!!
55 this year........
Great vid. Most of his more popular vids were pretty out there and very well done. Still watch them regularly on the Tube. Shock the Monkey is still my fav, tho’. d:^)
The most creative video I ever saw.
I think it started the decline of MTV simply because the producers of videos really couldn’t do much better. That video set the bar so high that it was basically over.
That’s OUR MAN.
Powerful and HOT as
“STEAM” - Peter Gabriel

i’m a Genesis and always felt Gabriel was to constipated in his music and performing...the fact he’s uber left wing doesn’t help him with me...
Genesis started to suck once Gabriel got too big a head and pushed "Lamb..." It was a much better band prior to Lamb and for the following two albums after he left. The core always was Banks, Rutherford, Collins and the much underrated and supremely talented Hackett.
For those who miss "Knife Edge/Tresspass" era Genesis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULxCQkPEx6g
‘LAMB’ IS ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS OF ALL TIME RIGHT UP THERE WITH DARK SIDE OF THE MOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’M SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The video that launched my brief adolescent obsession with animation.
Many a bad flipbook, and corny stop motion animation, was created thanks to him.
Lamb = Love Beach
concur. “follow you, follow me” was my wife and my wedding dance song.
still brings tears to my eyes when I hear it.....28 years after that dance..
It looks like he's playing the same Les Paul he had back in the late 70s.
Hackett years were the best. He is the only one still carrying the Genesis torch. Saw him 6th row center last month on his current tour. New album out this month.Check his website and recent youtube videos!!! Who is this Gabriel person of who you speak? Where is he today?
Thanks for the link. You don't throw away a Strad just because it's old.
Great Video. It brings back alot of good memories.
Now for something totally different but the same.
