I was at Disney World a couple of months ago, and rode the Pirates of the Carribean.

I must say, I was really surprised to see this was still part of the ride.

Pirates of the Caribbean came about when Walt Disney rode the Speelunker Cave at Six Flags Over Texas and knew he had to top it. When Warner Brothers bought Six Flags, they ripped out the heart of the Speelunker Cave and turned it into a soulless Bugs Bunny ride.

I remember when it opened - it was FAR better, much slower - the ride is definitely rushed now, much faster.

It’s also been PC’d a bit - some of the characters changed lest they offend someone.

Also love to eat at the Blue Bayou restaurant that’s inside the attraction - tried to get reservations last time I was there and they were sold out for the day.
