NASHVILLE, Tenn.--The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says they have received 125 leads in the search for missing teen Elizabeth Thomas and have now issued a second nationwide BOLO.

TBI spokesman Josh DeVine says the leads have been "alarmingly low" and at this point the trail has "gone fairly cold." DeVine says Thomas and the former teacher she is in the custody of, Tad Cummins, could be anywhere.

****Anybody remember Mary Kay Letourneau?*****

Had to go back & check that case again. Pretty disgusting, the young boy was 13 when she became pregnant the 1st time and the second time while she was out on parole. They did get married. Their 2 daughters are now teenagers. Seems as if he has some serious problems.

For parents, sexual predators are terrifying, more so today than I ever remember.

****The girls father was not informed until Jan. 31.****

Wondered whether her parents had made any appearances to him to return their daughter.

His wife made a televised appeal - brave woman.

So it’s like Romeo and Juliet, only it’s Juliet with Romeo’s grandfather.

but it’s a different kind of crime, and may make them harder to find.

Yes...an abductee who might be inclined to leave a trail of 'bread crumbs' is easier to locate than someone who doesn't want to be found.

From what the sister-in-law said, it appears that the mother was abusive to the 6 children and was removed as custodial parent.

“Those that can, do; those that can’t, teach.”

That ought to cheer up all of the FReeper teachers.

Incredibly thoughtless.

New photos of suspect. He looks a lot heavier in the more recent photos.

“vehicle he’s believed to be driving. TN TAG: 976-ZPT.”

They are not in Tennessee anymore and have a feeling he’s ditched that car.

If he pre-planned this he could have had another car planted anywhere after he ditched the 1st one...

If shes 15 she may be big enough and look old enough to stay out of school and pass as an adult without new neighbors getting suspicious...

I bet they headed to the Gulf Coast.

This is about the fourth time I remember this happening. Teachers running off with students.

One time a 24+ year old teacher ran off with 13 year old boy to Mexico. The rest ran off to California. Thankfully all students were found safely. Teachers as well. Hope this girl is found safe like the others.

It could be worse. I saw an account of a woman who divorced her husband and he went on to marry her mother! While that sort of thing could cause problems for them, I wouldn’t be affected.

The only test for any marriage, regardless of age, race or religion, is love. And it should be administered by the bride and groom - not the parents or a gathering of lawyers or a bunch of bored strangers sitting at keyboards.

The state police think they have a right to be interested, too.

Because they ere already headed south on a I 65, (were seen in Dectur, Ala.) and it’s basically a straight shot to the Gulf Coast.

Is also an area Cummins is familiar with.

They might think they could blend in with the spring break crowds.

That having been said, if they kept south on 65, it intersects with 20/59 so I guess Atlanta is a possibility.

Or New Orleans.
