Not sure if this news is worthy of your gardening thread; but it is interesting and controversial. :)

Also incredibly necessary and dying in incredibly unusual numbers for a while now.

But hey, don’t let those pesky things get in the way :)

It’s a great idea. We need more giveaways like this. Just cover the United States in food. I’m all for that

Wildflowers are weeds, not much food value.

“Wildflowers are weeds, not much food value.”

Bees produce honey as well as pollinate plants to produce more ample fruits and veggies. I’m grateful for them in my garden (blueberries, apples).

My daughter said she has ordered some. I pointed out that (a) we have flower seeds in the garage already and (b) if the plants them in the yard, Epic Fail Lawn Service will run the down with mower, and (c) where did she think she was going to plant them?

We grow many kinds of flowers in order to attract birds and butterflies.

I stand corrected.

It happens like five times a day :)

Thank you for the info.

Can’t trust tv documentaries. They are trying to get audience numbers.

Epic Fail Lawn Service...lol

I've dealt with their sister company, Apololyptic Avalanche Snow Removal, for the past few winters.

It blows me away that before the coming of the white man there were no bees in North America.

How does a pioneer import bees? Who did it?

I’d like to thank him.

Who invented the pesticides that are killing bees en masse in North America?.

I’d like to punch him.

For the bees, not for me.
