Yes, usually in the NE in Winter sunny means cold and warmer means precipitation! But this is what the NOAA has predicted in March (your fault):

Correction: that was made on Feb. 16 for March, April, May, from http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/predictions/multi_season/13_seasonal_outlooks/color/churchill.php

Northern Virginia here, this is a big problem for me. Medical issues. Breathing cold air brings immediate, immobilizing heart pain and breathing issues. I’m out of everything, so I’ll have to suck it up and go to the store today. Crap.

If I had the kind of money that liberals seem to think we all have, I’d move to Oahu.

I regret having used more than my fair share of toilet paper. I’m so not worthy...

IOW, whatever NOAA predicts, expect the opposite.

Anyone have a Farmer’s Almanac?

Or know what they forecasted?

I demand climate justice reparations. I will private message you with my NH address so that you can send a check.

BTW, I self-identify as a Negro so you can send that reparations check too.

I think it is overall often too vague (sunny means warm or cold?) unreliable . Mar 1-6 was certainly not cold:

Free 2-Month Weather Forecast

MARCH 2017: temperature 31° (3° below avg.); precipitation 4" (1" above avg.); Mar 1-6: Sunny, cold; Mar 7-11: Snow, then rain, mild; Mar 12-20: Periods of rain and snow, cold; Mar 21-26: Showers, mild; Mar 27-31: Wet snow, cold.

APRIL 2017: temperature 43° (3° below avg.); precipitation 4" (avg. north, 2" above south); Apr 1-5: Sunny, cool; Apr 6-10: Rain and snow, then showers, mild; Apr 11-17: Rainy periods, cool; Apr 18-22: Sunny, cool; Apr 23-26: Sunny, warm; Apr 27-30: Showers, cool.

. The snowiest periods will be in mid-November, late January, mid- and late February, and early to mid-March. http://www.almanac.com/weather/longrange/region/us/1

Find historical data here .

I will take snow and 30 plus over the 5 degrees it is where I am working today in Maine. Luckily it should be a quick job.

The storm will be of short duration. 20 packages should suffice.

The way I see it, other fambly members could go fetch their own supply of necessities, or do without.

Funny you say that. I recently went to visit in-laws in Florida and they had the refrigerator full of Yuengling. It's like they knew what I needed to get through that week! By mid-week, I was already replenishing the supply.

Back in the Northeast and actually looking forward to the snowstorm next week. I like mid-March snowstorms because the snow never sticks around that long. The high sun angles and warmer average temps will melt most of that stuff away by the weekend.

Only 1.4 inches of snow here in DC (official measurement of what fell at Reagan National Airport) so far this winter. I’m ready for a nice 3-4 inches to fall on Monday night and Tuesday. It can even snow into Wednesday. :)

I played golf on Thursday, it was in the low 50s. Today we hit 15, and the golf course has 4 inches of snow on it.
