That story was yet another modern tale glorifying adultery. Started the book. Couldn't finish it.
Never saw the movie of course. But Meryl Streep was the show-stopper there. She creeps me out bigly. Honestly, she was Kaitlyn Jenner before Kaitlyn was cool.

Schmaltzy crap. Could never understand how women loved the whole adultery story. If the roles were reversed, they would be in an uproar.

I remember going to see this movie and I was constantly trying to check my watch for the time because it was so boring.

The book was better than the movie. Meryl Streep ruined the movie for me. Bad casting...so many other actresses ...and non actresses...would be more convincing in that role.
Clint Eastwood was believable.
