Dems Laying Basis For Coup D’État By Hitting Sessions
dickmorris.com ^ | 3/2/2016 | Dick Morris

Here’s how it will go down, scripted in the Obama/Alinsky playbook. The Goal: remove Trump from office.

1. Wiretap the Russian ambassador (or Flynn?) to get a record of contacts

2. Raise the issue in public in the hopes that Flynn errs and denies the conversations took place

3. Force Flynn’s resignation for lying in his denials

4. Use wiretaps and surveillance of the Russians (and perhaps of Sessions?) to get evidence of his contacts with them

5. At the confirmation hearing, set up Sessions with a question so he can be accused of “lying”

6. Demand that he recuse himself so the Dems can force a special prosecutor.

7. Get a prosecutor on the job to collect evidence aimed at impeaching Trump. The evidence need have nothing to do with any election contacts. It could relate to anything uncovered in the process of the probe.

The attempts to push aside Sessions are nothing less than the early stages of a coup d’etat to reverse the results of the election.

The outraged calls by both Schemer and Pelosi for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to resign or at least to recuse himself from investigations of Russian contacts with the Trump Administration are totally hypocritical. When Sessions’ predecessor, Loretta Lynch, met with Bill Clinton while Hillary was under investigation by her own Justice Department, she steadfastly refused to recuse herself from the investigation — without a peep of protest from the Democrats who are now calling for Sessions’ head.

This entire “scandal” is totally phony.

What is wrong with contacts between a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and the Russian ambassador to the United States? Democrats lynched former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn for speaking with the ambassador while he was still a private citizen five weeks before he was sworn in, but Sessions was a Senator and it was fully appropriate for him to meet with the ambassador.

When asked about whether or not he met with any Russians during the campaign, he told the Senate Committee that he had not. But the question was clearly related to the campaign and Sessions’ contacts were not about politics but about relations between the two countries.

And, for that matter, what is wrong with an incoming national security advisor meeting with the Russian ambassador five weeks before taking office? With Putin pondering retaliatory sanctions against the U.S., it was the right thing for Flynn to do to seek to head them off.

The Democratic moves were scripted and prepared by Obama before he left office and before the election. They were Plan B in the event Trump won.

Bottom Line: Trump must NOT name a prosecutor and Sessions must NOT recuse himself (regardless of what the next move in the coup attempt will be).

Trump is an absolute strategic genius..

His tweet was a quick check in the chess game to get Obama on the defensive rather than the offensive.

I think Morris makes a good case, especially now with the Director of the FBI asking for the DOJ to reject Trump's tweet concerning Trump's claims of wire tapping.

Why would the FBI request the DOJ to do something Comey himself is fully able to do? Could it be because Session has recused himself from matters concerning the Russian investigation and now an Obama appointee is in charge of DOJ concerning this matter?

“reverse the results of the election”

Well, no. You’d get Pense as POTUS, and if they zot him too, speaker of the house unless Trump appoints a new VP.

All of this chicanery will not install Hillary, or re-install Obama, or get a prog in the WH.

A violent military coup may be their goal, but merely removing Trump does not buy them much. This is a deeper game.

I agree with one thing; Jeff Sessions should immediately UN-recuse himself because he didn’t need to do it in the first place. He also needs to get tougher; the job demands a strong tough person.

Sorry, Mr. Morris. Everything you’ve said is an ex post facto story made to fit the events. The story falls apart when it reaches the present and moves into the future because you can’t predict the future. No crimes have been committed by the administration. Crimes only from the previous band o thugs. The momentum has already turned.

Remember, all. This is the guy that had Hillary vs Condi in the 2008 race. Even wrote a book about it. Dang me, I bought it. I want my danged money back.

The deeper game? Honestly, I think they’re scared to death of going to jail and having their money and power taken away.

They thought they’d win this election. As they lost, all their dirty deeds lay exposed. Win or go to jail.

Well, time to send these traitors to jail!

Here’s how it will go down, scripted in the Obama/Alinsky playbook. The Goal: remove Trump from office.

This guy is full of sh!t. He tries to make the case that he's predicting a course of action, then lays out seven steps -- 5 or 6 of which have already taken place. There's no evidence of any relationship between them, either.

You beat me too it. I picked up on the "ex post facto" bullsh!t in about five seconds.

The guy might as well have laid out a list of 100 items, starting with the day Bill and Hillary Clinton met 50 years ago when they were sharing a girlfriend or something.

Sessions was a mistake. He’s not up to the job when Obama’s media thugs and the Democrat Mafia in DC could push him around like a wet mop in his first test. (Did he really take the advice of the Obama leftovers in the DOJ to recuse himself? Duh.) Rudy Giulani should be brought in ASAP to try to right the ship.

I’m wondering if at this point it would not be better for Sessions to resign. Trump needs someone at justice who is not crippled and who can forcefully have his back, the way Holder and Lynch had Obama’s back.

This is all about tying the Trump administration up in knots so they are distracted and can’t get things done.

I think the chances of Trump being impeached are slim and none.

I'd say the chances of them being distracted from doing their jobs are slim and none, too.

When Sessions gave his press conference on Thursday, I speculated that the press conference took up more time than Trump had even spent thinking about the Russian bullsh!t story over the previous two weeks.

The guy has caused untold heartburn and anxiety among Democrats simply by spending 2-3 minutes firing off Twitter messages in the wee hours of the morning. I get the sense that he does it as much for entertainment as for any political purposes. LOL.

Sadly, Congress would not affirm a tougher A.G.if Sessions resigned.

We’re not going to let them get away with it. I’m so proud President Trump knows how to deal with bullies. I can’t wait for him to beat them all up. :D ;D

You are absolutely correct. Since no crime was committed anywhere by anybody in the current administration, Trump will never designate a special prosecutor. Ergo, what was the point of all those stupid points.

I’m thinking if Mr. Morris wants to impress us, he should dish some dirt on Hillary for our prurient interest. Like how many drinks does she require before she does a face plant on the floor?
