There now seems to be some method to all the madness. Mere hours after it was reported San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick would not protest the national anthem next season, comes this rather interesting tidbit from Bleacher Reports Jason Cole.
This seems to make some sense from a business standpoint. If Kaepernick himself is looking to latch on with another team in free agency, being divisive isnt necessarily the way to do it.

It has nothing to do with principle. He just wants to get paid.
Nah, I prefer this asshole keep kneeling down because he’s an anti American POS. I prefer people be honest and stand for the American flag than BS and act like it’s a chore.
Colon Krappernick was not the only player who refused to stand during the anthem. There were some on almost every team. I want them blackballed.
For all the idiots who looked up to this rumpswab, one word: SUCKERS!
He can stand on his freaking head, for all I care. I will not watch a team that has him on it.
So if a team is foolish enough to sign him, will anything prevent him from resuming his “protest”??? I doubt they will put a clause against it in his contract, this being the NFL and all..... SJWs would scream that such a clause violates his right to be an idiot.
Yeah, his eye candy suddenly finds it more principled that he continue to keep her lifestyle well-funded than he stick to his belief system, however misguided it may be. Guess he’s not as “oppressed” as he thought.
Did he break up with his girlfriend ?
If Tim Tebow was ousted from the league because of his views, I see no reason why this low performing QB shouldn’t be for his.
... and laid.
Why would anyone sign a 2nd or 3rd stringer who had 1-2 good seasons.
Its a sign that your team is truly desperate
Agreed, he is a lousy QB and should be in Canada somewhere.
But what if he asks for work on bended knee?
+1
He’ll go right back to his disgusting shenanigans before the ink even dries on the contract.
Well .. finally somebody had the b__ls to stand up to the tyrant.
The league should've put a stop to it once Kaepernick started. Instead, they defended "their right to make a statement", blah, blah. I gave up on football and have not missed it. I didn't even watch what appears to have been one of the better Super Bowls of all time. The NFL should never have given guys like me the chance to find out I really didn't need them.
Hopefully he’ll be standing for the Canadian anthem.
“.........looking to latch on with another team in free agency, being divisive isnt necessarily the way to do it.”.......
Hence he has gotten “religion”. Money will do that!
I’m amazed it took this long for the NFL to man up...
They saw revenue drop...
