Haha...chances are good they also employed minorities to take care of the envelopes.
They now have bodyguards.
Can’t escape the thought that this was all set-up to generate interest in a dying program.
Even Hollywood’s press releases are recycled clichés. “You’ll never work in this town again!”
There's that too!
PWC, I’m surprised they weren’t H1B accountants.
“you’ll never interfere with our narrative again”.
An interesting scenario to contemplate:
Suppose that the mistake had gone the other way, that the “wrong” card handed to Warren Beatty had been for Best Supporting Actor, Mahershala Ali, who was in “Moonlight”.... that Faye Dunaway announces “Moonlight” as the winner for Best Picture, when the actual choice is “La La Land.”
Now imagine the racially tinged uproar, then and since, when it is announced while all the “Moonlight” people are onstage, that the mistake went the other way and that the correct Best Picture is “La La Land.”
ooooh, Hollyweird would never have recovered from the charges of racial bias etc. Would they even have dared to announce the correction? It would have been delicious to see all the liberals put in such a disastrous situation after all the “Oscars too White” drumbeat, etc.
The easiest way to prevent this from happening again is to have two PWc accountants on each side of the stage, with no electronic devices allowed in their possession.
All this “flub a dub dub” did was show what a bunch of fools the Hollowoodies are. Now the children of these people will have no food and shelter. They will probably be homeless.
It’s interesting that firing people for screwing up is now newsworthy. Seems to me that it used to happen all the time.
Perhaps it’s another case we’re having two responsible people is more dangerous than having one responsible person for a particular task. I think that was one of the Lessons Learned in one of the space shuttle disasters.
Diverse? Diverse?
Your sewer has diversity.
Your water supply does not.
And we all know which category encompases the H-Wood high school grad losers.
Aww. Too bad. People in show business, of all people, should know that the ending makes or breaks the show.
Yeah, just imagine if the error hadn’t been caught until the next day and THEN someone leaked that the GAY BLACK film actually won. LOL
Instead of the Obvious Tokenism played by the weakling Hollyweirders after they got their “racist” butts exposed by not playing the Quota Game
Should’ve called BDO...
I wonder if Price Waterhouse is just taking the blame and falling on their sword to keep the contract.
What do you do when you’re branded, will you fight for your name?
How about the stupid presenters?
