Why don’t they send the kids into predominantly BLACK schools, and let them see how well “bring[ing] counter narratives” goes over.
This whole thing reminds me of “beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing.” In the pictures, the two teachers look like nice, friendly guys. No doubt the kids will love them. And yet, with smiles on their faces, they’re poisoning their young charges and leading them to hate their own race. Truly disgusting.

I am trying to reconcile my “counter narratives” against my experience as a youth.
As a 5 year old I had to walk to school alone. There was a group of 4-5 black kids that would take my milk money every morning and threaten me not to tell. I solved this by walking the long way around the block to school.
Is it reasonable that I might, as a 5 year old, correlate being robbed with black people? That was my experience. Today, I have grown up, but that formative experience can not be completely forgotten.
Garrett Morgan received a patent for a traffic-control device that allowed for an “all stop” signal before giving clearance to any particular direction, thus allowing cars that were already in the intersection to get clear before traffic on the cross street started up. The modern equivalent is when all lights in all directions go red for a second or two before one of them turns green; this is known as a “clearance interval.”

So while it’s not accurate to say that a black person invented traffic lights, it is accurate to say that a black person invented a notable improvement to them.
There were a couple of lines from the Book of Job that contained “shadow” and “skin”: something like his skin was rotting off and he sensed the shadow of death.
If these guys weren’t teachers i suppose they would be Boy Scout leaders.
No spelling bee champs from that school.
