So, my iPhone 7 Plus has run up against the securecheckapp scam, and it will not allow me to clear the clickbait pop up from any browser.
I realize that securecheckapp is an Android scam, but how do I clear it on my iPhone?
Anybody?

Go into Settings > Safari, and Clear History & Data.
BTW, I got the pop up after clicking on a link to a breitbart.com story.
I was just going to tell you that. . . had to step another Freeper through that Friday. It's not really an invasion of the iPhone but just a hijacking of the webpage and using the ability of the browser to reload the webpage to the last webpage you were on. They want you to pay them $100 to solve it for you. It is very frustrating when you don't know how to do it. I also recommend doing a full cold restart and memory clear by holding the home button and power button for 10-15 seconds.

Thank you. I will probably do the reboot later today.
At least I knew to not click on the link.
