Here in Bakersfield, we’re also looking at 45 mph winds, which means right in the middle of driving rain, I’m probably going to lose my back fence, which hopefully will land in the neighbors yard and he can call his insurance company to replace.

When it rains, it pours.

If this drought continues we’re all going to have to grow flippers.

Can only imagine the thoughts going through the mind of the scizophrenic Jerry Brown when he is being told of these storms and potential collapsed dams.

I’m staying home, was supposed to drive about 100 mikes back and forth but don’t have to now. So far, just typical LA spit drizzle.

>>his will bring LA to a standstill.<<

2 drops of rain will bring LA to a standstill. I was born and lived over 5 decades there.

Southern Californians view rain as aborigines view lightning:
“water from sky — must be gods angry.”

What happened to the ribs at the Crystal Palace? Last few times we’ve gone in there - they were terrible. Service sucks now too. We’ll never go back

I remember being in TX when I was 8. The rain drops were Yuge. I actually believed everything WAS bigger in TX.

Most rain in SoCal lasts less than an hour and is soft light drizzle. A cotton hoodie will do it. Today we might need the raincoats.

We were downtown in Charleston a year ago when a storm hit, with rain falling harder than I’d ever seen, not letting up, loud and powerful, and the street was a couple inches under water. We ended up running through it for the car. I was laughing with absolute delight like an idiot. So fun. I videoed it like only a tourist from SoCal would. For us it was like visiting Mars.

Rain recipes sounds like baking... unless the power goes out. Then it sadly sounds like salad. Lol.

When I lived in SoCal, they got a 4-5 inch rain, it caused major destruction at the military base where I worked and caused major havoc throughout the region.

Where I live now, if there is a 4-5 inch rain forecast, I park my car outside for a free carwash.

My daughter lives in Ventura, she moved there from Oregon because she didn’t like all the rain.
