CNN, today, was called #VeryFakeNews by President Trump for pushing a meritless claim that he worked with Russia to influence the election, and has business ties to the nation.
CNN responded with a breaking-news story later in the day. The text of the story follows:
CNN: TRUMP’S WIFE FROM FORMER SOVIET BLOC
(Washington) — There has been a stunning revelation that Melania Trump, President Trump’s wife, came from the Yugoslavian Province of Slovenia, which was under the influence of the USSR at the time of her birth.
Aides to the President were quick to deny that this implies a Russian connection, and that she is a naturalized US citizen now.
However, members of the Democrat party called for further investigation of this potentially explosive news. Rep. Maxine Waters (D) was quoted as saying “This proves it! Russia hacked the election through Melania! We need to impeach Trump immediately!”
When informed of this very suspect development, Rep. Elijah Cummings (D) asked, "Who did Trump 'know' and when did he 'know' her???"
The effort to launch an investigation on this troubling issue is not limited to Democrats. Sen. John McCain (R) stated in an official release, “It is obvious that Donald Trump is LITERALLY in bed with people from the Eastern Bloc. We should launch a Congressional investigation, and appoint a Special Prosecutor."
Shepard Smith, at Fox News, sternly admonished the White House. "Really? You sleep every night with someone from the Eastern Bloc, and the Russians are geographically close, and you are having HETEROSEXUAL SEX. It is happening, and we are fools for asking those questions? No sir, we are not fools for asking those questions, and we demand to know the answer to this question. You owe this to the American people. WHY ARE YOU SLEEPING WITH A SOVIET WOMAN?”
The Office of Government Ethics joined the chorus for an immediate investigation, and Sen. Schumer stated “We need to deny all the nominees of Donald Trump, who is an obvious Russian spy.”

IS no diff to them between what IS demonstrably true, and what satisfies the most minimal requirements of “possible” truth.

Over all the years of name calling CNN, that one might be the best.

Most appreciated! That was a GREAT press conference, never saw a Presidential on like that in my life, and I have been wishing, hoping to see something like that.

Not only funny as Hell, but SPOT ON!
He was so dismissive of the media, I just had to keep pinching myself...
And when he was talking about removing red tape to improve the state and profitability of industry, it struck me...he has been fighting governmental red tape his entire career, and now...he can do something about it!
