n just two seasons, Indonesian Muslim designer Anniesa Hasibuan has made the hijab her trademark -- and dazzled New York fashion week's catwalk this week by styling it with flowing, iridescent gowns fit for a princess.
Like in her New York show last fall -- which cemented her status as a rising star -- all of the models who showcased Hasibuan's autumn/winter 2017 collection sported lustrous gray hijabs that sculpted the facial features while carefully covering the hair.

That would be GREAT. LOVE to see Hilllary Clinton give up her pant suit and put that on. Show she is in total submission to Bill.
You couldn't be more correct!
Whenever an American girl or woman doesn't slut herself us it is "UGH Muh Patriarchy!"
Yet feminists are in total submission to true patriarchy.
Speaks volumes about them actually if you think about it.
I have been watching a show call Sgurim about the lives of Orthodox Jews as they live their lives in Jerusalem. It is a fictional show from a few years ago.
I am clueless about what some of the things I see mean. Sometimes I look them up.
Their head coverings are very important to them.
I don’t have a problem with doing something with their Muslim head coverings if it is not just about political statements.
Why shouldn’t woman have nice head coverings..if that is allowed. HOwever, I thought the head covering was so they wouldn’t entice males or something like that..seems to me a fancy head covering attracts males
If the garment is worn under threat, that’s not fashion, it’s abuse.
Let’s see these idiots host a fashion show of scanty, see thru western wear in Saudi.
So when are they going to have a fashion show with black models showing off their “bedazzling” iron shackles...?
I don’t think Orthodox Jews stone or behead if head coverings are not wore..but there can be other repercussions.
It is a spectrum with Muslims being on the extreme end.
Looks dumpy to me.
Btw, if you can stand watching subtitles...Sgurim is an interesting look into the life of Orthodox Jews. There is a recap blog site in English that goes in depth about the reality of each episode in a humorous fashion..but it uses a lot of jewish words for things.
One episode showed the wailing wall and you could see the tourists. I don’t know why I was struck by how dirty and old houses are inside..I guess I thought for television it would be more like US. I think this might have been more low budget. Definitely shot in location houses.
They do show a settlement during some of the episodes.
In this country, at least for adult women, it’s about choice. If Amish, Mennonites, Jews, Muslims, Catholics, Baptists, whomever, prefer to dress to suit their religious and/or cultural norms, they are free to do that. It’s women who aren’t free to choose that concern me. But apparently not these fashion folks, who I bet like to call themselves pro-choice.
perfect to wear when getting stoned at your next cocktail party...
How about KKK hoodies, did they also have models strutting down the runway with fashionable wizard outfits?
How pathetic!
That is a horrifying picture
The equivalent of lynching in every way but with far more victims
A beekeeper suit is still a beekeeper suit.
That's why I always refer to her as "Mrs. Bill Clinton", not "Hillary Clinton", and certainly not "Hillary". It's a subtle reminder that she got her power the same way women have for centuries-through the vagina.
A hojab is a signal that the wearer is shariah compliant. Not agood thing. It is not fashion. It is not style. It is a stetement of a virulent political ideology.
- Mrs. Bill Clinton
Symbol of submission.
Islam is the most misogynist ideology known to man.
The hijab is the symbol of women’s submission to it.
