It was Dell's amusingly called "tech support" that drove me to Apple in 2003. I've never looked back.
I bought a Dell recently, it arrived with a bad DVD drive. I contacted Dell customer service, and they sent me a replacement via FedEx overnight. No complaints at all.
I’ve had poor service from all of them. Apple’ service drove me to Dell. I was tired of getting a ‘one of ten’ appointment which always resulted into two hours of missed work. HP, however was the worst. Interesting that you joined “I” world in 2003. We left I world forever in 2013.

Bought a Dell desktop a year ago. Lasted long enough for me to transfer most of my stuff to it, then died. Their 3rd world tech support was a nightmare (actually the software side of their house seemed competent - not the hardware side). Finally managed to erase my stuff by pulling the hard disk, scrubbing, replacing, and then sent it back to them. Bought an HP with no problems or regrets.
