According to my daughters (when they were growing up):

But seriously, the competition to keep enrollment is a hugh and series issue for colleges.

It's all about the benjamins

For the African-Americans, Fredericksburg reeks of white privilege. All the Colonial and Victorian architecture is triggering.

Schools have invested big time in amenities.

Many colleges have become Club Ed vacation resorts in disguise so that Fedzilla and parents cosign the bank loans.

Those who do and think they are, are basically lazy. College is more like preschool story time. If you just read the book, you know about as much as the instructor teaching the class.
