Security drags Charles Oakley out of Knicks game in unrealĀ scene

The current Knicks should show such fight.

Charles Oakley, the bruising forward who more than anyone displayed the grit and physical play of Pat Riley’s ’90s Knicks, was arrested and taken out of Madison Square Garden during Wednesday’s game against the Clippers following an altercation with security guards.

The incident occurred in the pricey seats after Oakley allegedly heckled team owner James Dolan, who was sitting nearby, said a source who witnessed the incident and asked not to be identified.

On what basis?

I went to MSG with Oakley at the fights and a basketball game broke out.

Yeah, media bias there. Video clearly shows him pushing and hitting the officers/security. If anyone has a right to a lawsuit, the officers do.

“I didn’t do nothing … this is bulls–t,” Oakley said in the tunnel under the seats while handcuffed and before being taken away by police.

"I didn’t do nothing". Now where have I heard that before? Anyhow he will be held to a lower standard because of his race. Just the way it works nowadays.

The Knicks are an embarrassment currently. Oakley is a NYC hero. Guess who wins this PR battle?

“I didn’t do nothing”

He needs to throw another negative in there to be proper.

“I didn’t do nothing nohow”

I have a different take. And, I am no Oakley fan.

If you watch from beginning to end, he is telling people to get their hands off from the very beginning.

They comply, then get handsy again. It escalated because they kept touching him.

I want to know what he yelled at the owner. If it was a simple, clean heckle, he should not have been approached by security. If he used vulgarity, it’s all on Oakley.

Were they white security guards? If so, I expect the stadium to be burned to the ground. The man just don’t show no respect to them black ath-a-letes.

Did Charles Barkley chime in with a “this is just turribel, just turribel!”

They got ‘handsy’ because he was escalating his aggression.

” Guess who wins this PR battle?”

Are you referring to the dude that got into a tussle with Las Vegas security guards?

When security and Police tell you to leave, you leave. Oakley is completely responsible for the escalation. That ‘don’t touch me’ BS doesn’t work when you are not complying with lawful orders.

“I didn’t do nothing … this is bulls–t,” Oakley said

Translation problem.

Correct syntax is: "I, Dindu Nuffin."

This is Oakley expressing solidarity with other radical protesters and BLM members, similar to the movie Spartacus, where each person says, "I am Spartacus!"

#7 Maybe so, but after getting in their facees and then his slap at the Security Guard they should have tazed him and drug his ass out by his feet while he was still quivering.

Let me tell you, in NYC, EVERYONE loves the Oak Man. He had every teammates back and kept all cheap shots out of the picture protecting Patrick Ewing.

To say he’s beloved in New York doesn’t quite do it justice.
To say Dolan is considered a fat cat living off the billions in cable contracts while leading the Knicks to a disaster doesn’t quite suffice either.

Met Oakley at a charity event couple of years ago. He was cool and a nice guy.
I don’t think I’ve told a man that I loved him. For the Oak Man, it just came out like butter.

He shouldn’t be thrown out because he made some anti-owner remark aloud.
That’s just nonsense.

The Knicks appear to be a real mess - they're trying to drive away Carmelo Anthony, their best player, and they treat a former Knick great like this.

Apparently Oakley was heckling Knicks owner James Dolan, who has excluded Oakley from anniversary celebrations and refused to allow him in to games because Oakley has been critical of Dolan's leadership. This is shameful treatment - Oakley was the heart and muscle of the Knicks for over a decade. He had a ticket to MSG last night and was apparently asked to leave because he was saying mean things about Dolan, sitting a few rows down. Oakley over-reacted to being asked to leave, but MSG security was out of line in asking him to leave in the first place.
