Its no secret many in the New England Patriots organization arent huge fans of Roger Goodell and how he handled the DeflateGate situation. You can certainly add Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia to that list.
That is Patricia in the blue shirt. A blue shirt that sure looks like it has an image of Goodell on it with white face paint and a big red clown nose.

Love it!
I grew up with Matt. He’s def one of “us”.
And he is a rocket scientist!
Yes he is. He’s one of those students who had to work for it. Struggled with calculus senior year in HS, but got through it.
Though he played center in HS, he called the plays, not the QB. The coach once told Matt’s dad that it was like having a second coach, right on the field.
Def understands the game on a whole different level.
Like
“Def understands the game on a whole different level.”
Yet, for the first half of the game, had a definite “deer in the headlights” look about him as he pondered how his defense could not keep the Falcons out of the end zone. His ability to recover for the second half of no scoring by Atlanta says a lot.
he should have worn a falcons OC clown shirt, more stupid calls that giftwrapped another cheap win for the patriots...right out of pete carroll’s Stupidest Play Call in SB History...
Atlanta held themselves to no scoring.
Funny how some of the stupidest play calling occurs against the Patriots! What is it with that? Do opponents out-think themselves?
You’re absolutely right. haha
Talk about stress.
“Atlanta held themselves to no scoring.”
Can’t argue with that statement, especially the double entendre about “holding.”
no, they dont think period....they had two 3rd n 1 situation, both would have changed the game and the last one would have won it all for the falcons...but again, stupidity prevailed....
It’s funny how so many great teams play stupid against the Patriots. It’s almost as if there is some deep logic to it. I wonder what it could be.
Cheap win? Biased much? I agree Atlanta made some stupid calls. NE missed an extra point which forced them to make two 2 point conversions. There were at least ten plays that could have changed the outcome of the game.
Love the Pats or hate them, winning teams make the plays when it counts.
right, but the last 3rd n 1 at the 22 yard line, run the ball...that’s it, you either get the 1st down or not, if you do, you continue to eat clock and win, if you dont, kick the fg and the game is over, pats lose...that was the deciding play...if they simply run like anyone else would have done...there is no final drive to tie it....it was simple stupidity on the falcon’s part, the pats had no chance until that bonehead ‘pete caroll redux’ move.
true, luck plays a big part on both sides
I agree. Falcons had the lead and instead of running out the clock, they chose to throw the ball. In thier defense, this is how they played all year. They run the score up and dare the opposing team to outscore them. That was thier game plan. It worked until NE defense clamped down.
The way to beat NE is to keep Brady off the field. Brady took over 90 snaps. Atlanta’s defense was gassed and NE took advantage of them.
