I played rugby in college. A much more physical and rougher game than football. No substitutions, no huddles, no timeouts, non-stop running. You had to play with injuries or you didn't play. And we didn't wear helmets or pads.
My opinion? This is the fuzzy-headed liberals trying to sanitize our football culture to match their view of the world as seen through their rose-colored glasses.
