The Kuwaiti Government has asked would-be migrants from the five banned nations not to apply for visas, as Kuwait City is worried about the possible migration of radical Islamic terrorists.
But the U.S. is not allowed to have a similar concern. That would be racist! Islamophobic! Hateful!
This action by the Kuwaiti government neatly reveals the absurdity of such objections.

Yeh....I think we have to add Pakistan.
“Yeh....I think we have to add Pakistan.”
That might make it impossible to resupply troops in Afghanistan or significantly raise the price charged for transits through the Stan countries. We probably need to abandon Afghanistan if only because we can’t supply it. (Also, it’s a sh@thole not worth wasting one more American life on.)
In spite of news venues globally that keep repeating this story, none are doing their own due diligence and confirming it in Kuwait.
Why do we want to fall victim to fake news? Are we to fall into the same trap of believing “news” only because it fits a story line we accept?
Lol!
This should make for interesting discussions on tonight’s cable news shows.. BUT - will it make it? Hmmmm? Probably something the progressives don’t want known so they won’t bring it up. How about the others? Maybe - maybe not!
How many refugees has Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, U.A.E., Bahrain and Qatar taken in?? NONE!
There is a good reason why Saudis will pay a premium to get a houseboy from Thailand or the Philippines while scores of fellow Arabs go unemployed.
They like waking up alive, for one thing.
“”In spite of news venues globally that keep repeating this story, none are doing their own due diligence and confirming it in Kuwait. Why do we want to fall victim to fake news?””
I would like to hear one good explanation of just how to go about that and who is to determine what is real and what is fake. If anything, you’re falling into the trap the news loves to pontificate about nightly. It’s getting tiresome to have this brought up constantly. Does anyone know what is genuine and what is not? It’s certainly not like a gem or other tangible item that can easily be appraised to determine fake from real.
If we then are told after “due diligence”, something is fake - we automatically believe THAT? Whose credibility DO we believe?

I went to Kuwait’s own news venues in Kuwait. There is nothing there and no one reporting this quotes any Kuwaiti sources than have been independently confirmed.
This same story was let out of its cage back in 2011, and even then no had confirmed it.
The earliest report came form Sputnik news, picked up by venues in India, who sourced it as from Sputnik news, while later venues sourced it from one or the other sources in India. No one had anything direct and confirmable from Kuwait. Kuwait official news has zero, zip, nada on it.
In other words, it is a completely “unconfirmed” report. I wouldn’t repeat it.
