That’s Ryan’s style. He figures out who’s winning and becomes their best pal. Not much of a leader, more like a dog that has been trained to heel.
Ryan’s district will easily re-elect him as long as he cares to run, but if he follows Trump’s leand and can claim credit for helping MAGA he no doubt figures that bigger things are possible.
One other point the mob was/is good at - family are the only people you can really trust. Notice who Trump’s closest advisors are: sons, daughter, and son-in-law.
Ryan kissed Obama’s butt and did whatever he wanted and now he’s doing the same for Trump. He’s a born follower.

Very poor judgment. Trump doesn’t have to bad mouth Ryan, but he shouldn’t fawn over him either. Ryan is part of the problem in the Dist. of Corruption, not part of the solution.

Instead of being cynical, I think Trump is saying that he got something from Ryan he really, really wanted.
Believe me, Trump does not trust Ryan. As a New York commercial real estate developer, Trump has dealt with all kinds of sleaze-balls like Ryan.
I saw this live on Fox, and I didn’t see anything to get upset about. Trump was schmoozing all the fellas he’ll be working with, and that included Paul Ryan. Today, in this historical setting, was not the moment to school the Speaker of the House. There’s a time and place for everything, and Trump is a master of this. Watch Levin go off on this compliment to Ryan and make a BFD out of it.

He knows that Ryan will be booed tomorrow morning. He is trying to blunt it. He has been more than gracious.

He doesn’t like him anymore than he does Ted Cruz or any other Republican in congress.
He wants them to aid in effecting his policies and programs.
I think he should say horrible things about the RINOs all the time and kick any of them who come near enough...
