A weekend shark sighting temporarily closed the ocean off of a stretch of Huntington Beach, and a surfing dog may have had a close encounter with a shark. During a photo shoot with Sugar the Surfing Dog in Huntington Beach, an image was taken that shows what appears to be a 9 to 10-foot-long shark in the wave next to her.

If I saw a dog-shark surfing toward the beach I might be a bit scared myself.
Why I never swim in the ocean. Like jogging on the Seringeti of Africa.
That dog does not look happy to be on that board.
Shark thinking of having sushi....
I was worried more for the photographer in the seal costume.
Looks more like a dolphin to me ?
Probably a Russian submarine, it’s how they
infiltrated the voting machines.
Sure looks like a dolphin to me.
Nuh-uh. I stake my reputation as an international shark expert on this.
I used to surf Huntington and everything south of that to Ensenada, Mexico..
Never saw a shark...but was spooked a couple times by dolphins...
Poor dog. That looks cruel.
:)
Yeah, he’s got his ears back.
Of course, I am only looking at one shot, and perhaps there are others in which he does not look anxious.
