Waitress Kelly Carter said a couple had written on the receipt: "Great service don't tip black people."
Owner Tommy Tellez told BBC News the response has been "phenomenal".
People have been dropping by the restaurant to give Ms Carter cash, Mr Tellez said, and a YouCaring campaign has raised over $300 (£245) for her.
Her regular customers have been dropping by to give her hugs.
Tipping is customary in the US, where restaurant servers often earn less than the minimum wage, with tips supposed to make up the difference in pay.
The white couple who left the note appeared to be in their mid-20s, and left after spending $30.52 (£25) on food.
Ms Carter told local media that one of the diners had even complimented the breakfast she served them on Saturday.

This is really sad . But I’m in the service industry and I’ll tell you this , the great majority of blacks do not tip ( whites) Very rare . They don’t write notes , they just do not give a gratuity . I would say less than one in 10 blacks might tip ( whites ) , for physical services rendered , and then usually just a buck . Whereas it seems like white folks tip $5 or more for the same level of physical services rendered . Excluding white Canadians ; who also don’t tip at all . They know they should , for physical services rendered , but they seem to play dumb .
The note actually said “black people are very poor tippers”.
They were in their 20s. Either they are waiters themselves who don’t like it when black people don’t tip. Or they are trying to get in the news. Either way, its not a hold over from the 1950s. These people were born in the 1990’s. They could not be acting out of any learned racism.

News flash! Blacks don’t tip blacks either according to a couple of female bartenders that I knew.
Many years ago I managed a restaurant/bar....I once had to threaten to fire a young black man for refusing to wait on black people, no joke he said “I don’t wait on black people cuz’ they don’t tip”....
After this election, I’m reluctant to sit in an area of a restaurant with black wait staff. We’ve heard too many stories about “embellishments” in the form of bodily fluids that have been added to the food of white folk. (And that was before the election.)
I know it’s not fair to the decent ones, but how do you know?

This looks very much like a story which was put out in August of last year. But it was a Latina that time. It was dubious then. But we can expect the leftwing media children to be screeching this for days. Anything to discredit the incoming President.
