Chalk up another win for the president-elect?
Toyota is set to make a $10 billion capital investment in the U.S. over the next five years, Toyota Motor North America chief executive Jim Lentz said during an interview at the Detroit auto show, Reuters reported.

I’m getting sick of all this winning.
There are still losers and losing - almost daily if you get nostalgic. Meryl Streep was a big loser yesterday for example.
It's too soon.
I hope it means to some degree lesser amounts of of Toyota trucks going to ISIS.
“Im getting sick of all this winning.”
Just amazing isn’t it.
As a Toyota owner, I’m pleased with this news. Although I must admit that the reason I bought my older-model Toyota (when it was new) was because it was one hundred percent manufactured and assembled in Japan and I trusted the quality of Japanese manufacturing.
I CAN’T HANDLE THIS WINNING!
Waiting to do this just before Trump assumes office by adding $$$$ to the U.S. automotive plant(s) is just plain mean!
I mean, just think about it, you’re a liberal Democrat union goon who has been waiving the Obama/Clinton flags for 8 long years, you’ve been watching production go overseas again and again, and this bozo isn’t even president yet, and he’s accomplished more US investment commitments from companies in two months than Obama did in 8 years.
Isn’t there some kind of mercy rule that pops into effect once the total goes over 100 billion?
There is a small part of me that is sort of depressed.
how is it that Trump can do this before he even gets into office but for years..including Bush...the jobs just kept leaving....with so many out of work.
Thank God For Trump.
Thank you, Russia!
If the Russians are responsible for all this winning, I want to thank them.
Steep’s speech was rambling and insipid. What a was particularly grating was the voice she used while speaking, it was too low, too slow, too much of a whisper - very offputting.
“Im getting sick of all this winning.’
Watch some liberals whine for about 15 minutes, that will cure you.
Discussed it with my wife this morning - she rightly pointed out that Toyota sets up plants here to sell their wares here - they don’t send them back to Japan. Any company that wants to set up in a foreign market needs to sell its product in that foreign market instead of expecting the American People to subsidize those markets.
I am not getting sick of all this winning.
Has Josh earnestly mocked this yet?
Heck that's nothin', Ford has announced that 2018 models won't turn left if a liberal is driving.
Hopefully Americans now realize it's not necessary for us to starve so that elites can congratulate themselves on making all men equal.
The Toyota investment must have been planned for months if not years. But it was a good time to announce it. Previous Presidents didn’t think it was in their job description to pressure companies to keep jobs in the US. But you need more than the bully pulpit to persuade companies on this issue, you need policy changes.Trump is reinventing the Presidency.
Hmmm. Excuse me, but what’s wrong with that?
Besides, the Japanese cars have the driver on the right side.
Damn - somebody must have a magic wand or something!
Apparently the Japanese CAN read the Tea Leaves.
I need to start saying that too...
Thanks Putin for the jobs...
No thanks to Mccain and Miss Lindsey
God created man but Sam Colt made them equal.
More and more winning!!
“I must admit that the reason I bought my older-model Toyota (when it was new) was because it was one hundred percent manufactured and assembled in Japan and I trusted the quality of Japanese manufacturing.”
Apparently, one of the Toyota 4 cyl. engines made in the US and installed between 2007 and 2011 suffers from excessive oil consumption. The problem is so bad that my local independent repair shop, which specializes in Hondas and Toyotas, advised us not to buy a used Toyota for princess riverdawg if it had that engine. We bought her a used Honda CRV instead.
I’ll bet it’s less than they had to donate to the Clinton Foundation, and they get a profit center to boot!
So, anyone still upset about Trump’s use of twitter? It gets results.
This could be a big thing for places like Kentucky.
>>>I bought my older-model Toyota (when it was new) was because it was one hundred percent manufactured and assembled in Japan and I trusted the quality of Japanese manufacturing
Isn’t telling it took these great Americans Dr. W. Edwards Deming, Dr. Joseph Juran, Philip Crosby & others... to turn around the junk coming out of Japan after the second world war!
When will globalist Free Traitors learn that they don’t run the USA?
OMG!!! What poor foreign country is now going to suffer at our profit??!!
We are DOOMED!!! Jobs HURT America! Every globalist says so! We won’t be free to go do “something else”! We’ll have to go to work, dammit!!!
The spoiled Cheap Labor Express might have to treat Americans like human beings again.
Levin is a classic Free Traitor.
“The spoiled Cheap Labor Express might have to treat Americans like human beings again.”
Something they haven’t done is over 20 years.
Is this what MeAgain Kelly looks like now?
Too much drugs and booze.
Now if we can only get the natural resource base industries going...
That would be the ones where none of these happen without.
Ag, Forestry, and Mining.
My first reaction was boredom. Okay, another Trump win, not really worth reading beyond the headline. $10B is a lot of jobs, and a political junkie like me is bored? President Trump looks likely to keep his promise on winning, and he is not even in office yet.
“A billion here, a billion there...”
...pretty soon adds up to real greatness.
Thanks for the ping!
All of this winning and I’m still not tired of it yet.
