Toyota is set to make a $10 billion capital investment in the U.S. over the next five years, Toyota Motor North America chief executive Jim Lentz said during an interview at the Detroit auto show, Reuters reported.

There are still losers and losing - almost daily if you get nostalgic. Meryl Streep was a big loser yesterday for example.

I hope it means to some degree lesser amounts of of Toyota trucks going to ISIS.

As a Toyota owner, I’m pleased with this news. Although I must admit that the reason I bought my older-model Toyota (when it was new) was because it was one hundred percent manufactured and assembled in Japan and I trusted the quality of Japanese manufacturing.

Waiting to do this just before Trump assumes office by adding $$$$ to the U.S. automotive plant(s) is just plain mean!
I mean, just think about it, you’re a liberal Democrat union goon who has been waiving the Obama/Clinton flags for 8 long years, you’ve been watching production go overseas again and again, and this bozo isn’t even president yet, and he’s accomplished more US investment commitments from companies in two months than Obama did in 8 years.
Isn’t there some kind of mercy rule that pops into effect once the total goes over 100 billion?
There is a small part of me that is sort of depressed.
how is it that Trump can do this before he even gets into office but for years..including Bush...the jobs just kept leaving....with so many out of work.

Steep’s speech was rambling and insipid. What a was particularly grating was the voice she used while speaking, it was too low, too slow, too much of a whisper - very offputting.

Discussed it with my wife this morning - she rightly pointed out that Toyota sets up plants here to sell their wares here - they don’t send them back to Japan. Any company that wants to set up in a foreign market needs to sell its product in that foreign market instead of expecting the American People to subsidize those markets.
