The last time Congressional Democrats peaceably accepted a GOP victory in the Electoral College was 1988. In 2000, 2004 and 2016, Democrats in Congress objected, tried to object, and generally disrupted the process of certifying the Electoral College vote. They did so with no substantive grounds, instead just for the political theater of it.
Today's certification of the Electoral College wasn't just a ceremony, but it also wasn't a debate over who should be president. The question before the chamber was whether the votes being presented were valid votes from valid electors. No Democrats made any case that the electors were improperly chosen or their votes cast or counted improperly.
Instead, a handful of House Democrats, rose to object to the electors of southern states. They lacked standing to object, because they lacked a senator signatory to their objections...

The House Democrats were the comedy relief during the electoral count. Biden was getting angrier as each invalid and frivolous objection was raised. At one point, Biden exasperatedly said “it’s over” to one of the objectors. You can see Speaker Ryan laughing at that point.
Until our public indoctrination system is returned to a public education system, the voting process will continue to be polluted by ignorant juveniles with no cognitive understanding, but responsive to liberal stimuli.

Even if they wanted to debate that, they would have needed a senator to sign on. They didn't have a Senator and they knew the rules and just wanted to create a scene anyway. Theses asshats should be sanctioned for their disruption, but since they were mostly the melanin caucus folks, they won't be. These were some of the worst of the worst people in our current congress making asses of themselves.
Joe Biden kept a cool head and wouldn't allow their shenanigans to disrupt the process, good on him. Also, very smart of them to shut off the mic every time one of these babies tried to start a harangue.
Bottom line, we all had a jolly good laugh at their expense.
Could it be passed time to ABOLISH the Democrats???

Democrats are even worse at the local level. There was an election years ago, I forgot the details, but a republican won a mayor’s race in a very democrat city. The city council then voted away all the duties of the mayor and made it a figurehead position.
I KNOW that every one of these ‘protestors’ comes from an absolutely SAFE Democrat CD + DC’s Delegate. Eleanor H Norton, but I would like to see the list of these time and effort wasters.

There needs to be stiff fines for wasting Congress’s time with these antics. Short of a few days in jail for contempt of Congress, they need to be whacked hard in their wallets. Or both.
