LOS ANGELES (AP) Francine York, a statuesque actress who appeared in dozens of TV shows and movies in a decades-long career, has died. She was 80.
York died Friday at a Los Angeles hospital following a battle with cancer, said her friend, Pepper Jay.
The 5-foot-8 York was born in Aurora, Minnesota and had a childhood dream of performing. She modeled and was a nightclub showgirl before starting an acting career in low-budget movies and bit parts on television shows such as Rescue 8 and Route 66.

I just looked her up and remember her from a bunch of old TV shows.
She was very pretty.
Well, all those people who were on TV and in movies when I was a kid are very quickly dying off now. It makes me feel old and I admit I very much miss the world of my youth which seemed so much more innocent, optimistic, patriotic, and generally more decent.
Just a couple of the early photos are familiar. She certainly had an abundant bosom, but her face was really very pretty.
Yep - even into old age. Here are some pictures from 2015: http://www.66batman.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4332
I know how you feel. The America I grew up in as a kid has vanished.
She has the Melanie Chartoff thing going.
so pretty... resembles Barbara Eden in some shots...

Same feeling. I’m 63. It was a much better world in many ways. Now it is all trashed.
Whoever made her wardrobe decisions seems to have had only two things on his mind. Beautiful woman. I remember her well, but I don't recall whether she could act.
RIP.
