LYDIAONTARIO :" One year I did the “winter gardening”, which consisted of filling my porch with seeds in ventilated containers,
exposed to the elements and freezing temps.. by spring, I had the most robust seedlings! It was a great success!

How was the productivity ?
Heirlooms or hybrids ?
Do you believe the plants were 'hardier' as a result ?
That's an interesting experiment.. Where did you gt the idea ?

That is an interesting idea. I would like to know the answers too. Quite a few of my plants were spindly last year and this might be a good idea. Also, I got many started late, and this would be a way to get them going when nature decides.
