Sunday, big? Gadzooks-- Seven is asking, "Is it Saturday... yet?"
Raiders
Steelers
Seahawks
Packers
If Carr wasn’t out, the Raiders-Texans game wouldn’t be close. Texans have a good defense, but turn the ball over too much.
The Steelers are used to being in the playoffs, and have the superior QB.
Matt Stafford reminds me of Tony Romo. Makes some great plays, but takes too many chances and gets burned, eventually. Like Romo, he does that to make up for team shortcomings.
If the GB-NY game was in NY, I’d go with the Giants. Eli gets more out of less talent than most other QBs. He doesn’t cost the team the game, and seems to make the one throw necessary to win.

John Madden’s Raiders in the 70’s. The bad boys who surprised everyone with how good they were. Totally politically incorrect. Loved ‘em. Been nothing like ‘em since.
Congratulations Cletus. You beat me by ten years. :)
...and the other 2% of the time I can never find where you've passed out--
Texans
Steelers
Lions
Packers
Totally enjoyable as I hope the 'Bama-Clemson match-up will be. Clemson's passing offense matches up favorably against 'Bama's pass defense.

Here’s some cool AND FREE analysis from your friendly prognosticator. If you feel so inclined, please pass along to the dignitaries on your ping list.
(Numbers represent overall and specific NFL rankings by points except pass/run ranked by yardage.)
Saturday, Jan 7, 2:35 PM MT ESPN ABC
#11 Raiders at #26 Texans
OFFENSE: Raiders #7 20 Pass 7 Run OFFENSE: Texans #28 32 Pass 19 Run
DEFENSE: Texans #11 2 Pass 11 Run DEFENSE: Raiders #20 30 Pass 25 Run
Best part of the game is when the Raiders have the ball. The Raiders should run a lot. If they pass too much, Houstons 2nd best pass defense could kill them. When the Texans have the ball were seeing lousy offense & defense with the Raiders having the edge. Texans could move the ball if they mostly run. Key to the Raiders winning is mostly running the ball. Houston could win if the Raiders pass too much. Winner: Raiders.
Saturday, Jan 7, 6:15 PM MT NBC
#21 Lions at #6 Seahawks
OFFENSE: Seahawks #18 5 Pass 24 Run OFFENSE: Lions #20 13 Pass 27 Run
DEFENSE: Lions #13 25 Pass 20 Run DEFENSE: Seahawks #3 18 Pass 1 Run
The Seahawks 5th best passing game should beat the Lions low-ranking pass defense. The Seahawks should mostly pass. The Lions should also mostly pass. The Seahawks #1 rush defense should stop the Lions low-ranking rush cold. Winner: Seahawks.
Sunday, Jan 8, 11:05 PM MT CBS
#24 Dolphins at #5 Steelers
OFFENSE: Steelers #10 13 Pass 15 Run OFFENSE: Dolphins #17 5 Pass 8 Run
DEFENSE: Dolphins #18 14 Pass 31 Run DEFENSE: Steelers #10 15 Pass 19 Run
In points scored, the key measure of team strength, the Steelers come out much better than the Dolphins in overall ranking as well as in offense and defense. But in yardage detail on offense and defense, the Dolphins’ offense looks much better than the Steelers’ defense. Go figure. Maybe the Steelers have a deciding edge in special teams or field-goal scoring or maybe a significant turnover difference. Maybe Miami has a red-zone problem. Nevertheless, anytime the better scoring team is not the better yardage team there is a great possibility of an upset. The Steelers should run mostly against the Dolphins second-worst run defense. Yardage-wise, the Dolphins look good on both the pass and the run, and yet points wise, the Steelers defense should stop them. Winner: Steelers.
Sunday, Jan 8, 2:40 PM MT FOX
#12 Giants at #8 Packers
OFFENSE: Packers #4 15 Pass 7 Run OFFENSE: Giants #26 24 Pass 30 Run
DEFENSE: Giants #2 7 Pass 2 Run DEFENSE: Packers #21 32 Pass 14 Run
Heres another game where one team, the Packers, ranks higher in points but not in yards, so this one could be an upset. It will probably come down to how well Rogers will play against a tough Giants pass defense. Giants should mostly run. Winner: Packers.
Bingo!!
I should have been clearer...
She’s looks like she’s doing a modified “Italian Salute”...
Oh, trust me...Big and Bendy are "inclined"!

I'm not sure what you mean...
Saturday, Jan 7
4:35 PM ET Raiders at Texans In some ways the most interesting game of the weekend, mainly because of the quarterback questions facing each team. Love the Raiders with Derek Carr, not so much with Conor Cook. No offense intended but he's a rookie with very limited game experience. As for Brock Osweiler, well, the Texans staff showed just how much they respected his QB skills already. However... someone has to win and Osweiler does give the Texans an edge. Good season for the Raiders and a shame they lost Carr. The Silver and Black will be back next year. TEXANS.
8:15 PM ET Lions at Seahawks The Lions come rolling into Seattle on a three game streak. A three game losing streak! Even though Seattle is not the monster it was as recently as last season, it's still tough to play in Seattle. And the Lions seem to be a one-half team: one good half and one mediocre or bad half. Can they stay close and pull it out in the third and fourth quarters? I doubt it. SEAHAWKS.
Sunday, Jan 8
1:05 PM ET Dolphins at Steelers This to me is the no-brainer of the weekend. Congratulations to the Phish on making the postseason for the first time in who knows how many years but their ride is over this weekend. Yes they beat the Steelers earlier in the season, but Big Ben and Bell and Brown are in a different form right now and have a lot of playoff experience too. STEELERS.
4:40 PM ET Giants at Packers Ah, the game of the weekend! How can you can go against Aaron Rodgers and the Pack, at home and on a six game win streak? Giants have a great defense yes, but sometimes you have to score more than twenty points. Eli's past successes at Lambeau in the postseason notwithstanding, the Pack prevails. PACKERS!
And in the Bonus Pick....
CLEMSON tops ALABAMA!

You can take some consolation that my team, the Niners, which I have temporarily disowned due to lousy management and failure to deal with Kaperdoink, are the second worst in the NFL. I'm not sorry a bit. I hope somebody with their head screwed on straight buys the team, gets it back next to AT&T Park in the City, and gets these guys on the right track again.
THIS is where the stadium for the NEW Niners belongs. Looking north, AT&T Park and gorgeous views of the Bay Bridge are to the left.
Looking west, here's what you'd get.
How can you beat that?
Pray for the Raiders.
