Has anyone read the works of Peter Kreeft? I am particularly interested in, "Back to Virtue." I am also interested in his works on Aquinas. If you have other recommendations from this author or closely related works, please share.

Thanks

Yes, very good writer. Between Heaven and Hell is a good one, as well as Christian Apologetics

Check out his book “Christianity for Modern Pagans”. It is a commentary on Pascal’s “Pensees” and is brilliant.

I’ve had an interest in Aquinas for many years. I read Peter Kreeft on him, and I thought it was extremely well done, an excellent introduction and summary.

Amazon has a number of his books, all of which I have read and profited from.

I don't recall the title you mentioned, but I have read a half-dozen of his works, and I am confident that you will NOT be disappointed... Happy New Year! †

I would also recommend his book “Three Philosophies of Life”. It is an apologetic based on the three bible books, “Job”, “Ecclesiastes” and Song of Songs”. It too is brilliant and will change the way you read these books forever.

I enjoyed his book on Socrates, however people should Be the wary of Kreefts beliefs. His book, Ecumenical Jihad, advocates Christians and Muslims coming together and in spiritual unity to rid the world of evil and atheism.

If I remember correctly, the book on Islam has a copyright of 2001 or something like that. It certainly was written before 11 Sept. I think his views have moderated somewhat. I am pretty sure he is reluctant to advocate violence.

He is rational and I do not have a problem with his views on Islam even if I think he may be wrong. His views are not unrealistic. The vast majority of Muslims I have known do not fit the image imparted on this site though I had a student from Palestine who was way whacked out. Every paper he wrote was about killing Jews. Yes, I told my supervisors. Fortunately he was so stoned all the time he lacked the will to do anything.
