I never got Obama’s “vision.”
In the beginning, it was an empty cliche “hope and change.”
After that, it was just an empty vessel into which the fawning oligarchy and media poured whatever BS they wanted.
I think part of it was the generic lefty, faux-liberal (illiberal) pablum that if you just get all blindly empathetic, you will shortly be approaching paradise.
I said blindly. Empathy is a wonderful, wonderful thing in a godly context. In fact, a godly context can push it to much greater heights, because it has been kept out of enabling danger zones. Out of that, it’s a fearful lever for all manner of selfish manipulation.
Probably starting with his college a applications, he got ahead by saying and doing what "the man" wanted. His wisdom seems to consistently have been an ability to read that. He learned well from his white background, playing the black card. Heck, he's so light-skinned it's a choice to be black. He's the son of privilege, not a descendent of slaves with a real claim to be part of the heritage of the US. Someone among the global puppetmaster elite early in his career recognized that with a US mother they could move him up the political ladder in the US, in spite of probably being an Indonesian citizen at that time.
That's my purely speculative take on him, anyway. In my adventures in urban substituting (ended over three years ago), I came to recognize that type personality. They were the ones who could get a person in a tough situation through the day, just don't be hostile to their leadership.
Is that too unkind?
