It wouldn’t surprise me if they also serve on the boards, but this was a much much lower level decision. Come to think about it, this may have been from the board as an explanation why sales are crashing across the board. Don’t forget to pick up your 40 cents an ounce herbal infused Downy at your local big box store.

My daughter taught me a trick to reduce stains. After removing the garment, put dishsoap on the stained area, and rub it into the fabric. Rinse it out. If needed, repeat the process. If you don’t have a load to go with it, let it dry, and wash it with the next load.

This has worked for spaghetti sauce and chocolate, so far.

The toxins get right into your blood stream through the skin. Best to avoid them.

How about vinegar as a fabric softener?

Mrs Wardaddy sure struck some kind of sweet deal

I tend to avoid fabric softener because I don’t like the smell. Plain white vinegar works just as well and doesn’t stink.

Those new washing machines with no agitators don’t use enough water to use softener.

And if a top loader, they don't clean clothes, either. Stupid product.

“...Never could understand why people use that gooey, sticky, smelly junk on their clean clothes.”

Ditto. The smell reminds me of old ladies who don’t bathe because they’re afraid of falling in the tub, so instead they just keep piling on the cologne and talcum powder. The result is a sickly perfumy smell that makes me want to gag. There’s a moldy undertone, like an opened grave.
I like my clothes and linens clean and crisp, not limp and sickly sweet.

Ditch the Downy but you are awesome. My two older sons do their own laundry too, since about age 13-14.

Did you see my mention of you yesterday? Let me find it...

Someone once told me this, don’t know if it’s true but will pass it on.

Around here we get an insect called “stinkbugs” don’t know their scientific name. While at the Laundry Mat someone said Fabric Softener repels them. They said “use a lot on your curtains in the fall it helps”. Many of us had taken our curtains to the Laundry Mat and when we pulled them out of the washing machine thousand of dead stinkbugs fell on the floor. These stinkbugs tend to try to come in our homes in the fall when we have our windows open somehow they slide past the screens. Was also told to spray Fabric Softener on the screen to deter them. I don’t go that far, just use Ortho Home Defense.
