Just leave Facebook. You will still maintain contact with the people that matter. Facebook is the mob mentality. It’s the cliques in high school that you hated. It’s the hive mind it’s bullsh*t
My wife "does FB" and that is my peripheral take on it. She swears she only uses it to contact "friends" but too often comes up with some airheaded liberal comment that I just know she got from reading rot on that trash site.

I’ve avoided the annoying and irrelevant stories from my newsfeed by avoiding that mindless pastime.
I use that Ap. It works well.
As to getting off F B because the owner is a leftist by not using it you are letting them silence you and appearing to be exactly the fringe kook the left says you are. F B is a platform used by churches and even some prominent conservative blogs like Powerline.
You cannot resist evil by hiding from it.
