We had a couple of plants years ago and never were able to get anything but leaves from it. Too cold here, I think.

Wifey been trying to nurse along a little Avacado tree here for about 5 years. Tough going and having to move it in during the cold and all that. Yeah, avocados don't much like the cold. It's why most of them are grown in mild climates, like certain parts of California.
I'm now in North Texas where things like avocado will perish. Reminds me - I've got a jalapeno plant that made it through last winter. We're going to get freezing temps tonight, and I've got to go wrap it.
