Clad in white at a Berlin church, asylum seekers Saeed, Veronica, Farida and Matin were just about to become Christians on a recent Sunday. Do you believe from the bottom of your heart that Jesus Christ is your Lord and savior, and will you follow him every day of your life? Pastor Matthias Linke asked them. If so, say yes. All four replied with a frank Ja, to the enthusiastic applause of the faithful at the Free Evangelical Church, and were plunged head-to-toe into a baptism basin. [ ]
In our diocese, there are several groups of refugees who are preparing for baptism, and there are more and more requests, said Felix Goldinger, a Catholic priest in Speyer, southwestern Germany. Many come from Iran and Afghanistan, some from Syria or Eritrea, he said. [ ]
Goldinger said that many people recall what they have experienced in their country, including terrorist acts committed in the name of religion. They see Christianity as a religion of love and respect for life.
In Iran, said Linke, many had been in contact with unrecognized churches in the Islamic republic, where conversion is prohibited, and then had to flee. Other refugees met Christians on their journey to Europe.

Taqiyya.
In some cases, absolutely. But I suspect there would be genuine cases among them either way.
Mostly headless muslims converting.
iirc, it was reported a while back that several turkish muslims joing the church and “converted” to christianity.
soon after they murdered the priest.
I just heard on ‘Leading The Way’ this morning, that more Muslims are finding Christ recently, than in the last 1400 years. Most of this is happening in Muslim lands, where it’s dangerous to profess Christ.
God often comes to these Muslims thru dreams. They’re probably easier to lead to Christ than self-satisfied and proud Americans.
Dr Michael Youssef, of ‘Leading The Way’ is an Egyptian Christian.
Barbra Streisand...”easier to lead to Christ than self-satisfied and proud Americans”,, self-righteous..
A possibility, I am sure.
But there’s always the possibility there’s a genuine work of God going on, too.
Saul of Tarsus got saved.
Of course, many of the “refugees” are illegal immigrants.
However, if they officially convert to Christianity they have a much better chance to get official asylum in Germany. They are allowed to stay anyway.
Jesus Christ appeared to Saul.
I don’t believe that happened to these boys.
Great, then return them to their countries where they can Proselytize.
I doubt that, too.
Just saying that it is possible.
But it makes far more sense that it’s just a ploy for them to stay.
But God will not be mocked.
If they are taking His name in vain, they WILL pay the consequences some day.
Perhaps so, figuratively speaking. The headlessness actually occurs after conversion! Apostacy.
