ust don’t get it. People are going insane about Donald Trump being president-elect. It’s beyond the wildest anger and fear I saw even about Richard Nixon, my hero. And, as I say, I just cannot see it.
For example, this morning, I got several emails from men who had been my friends since high school. “America is going through its worst days ever,” said one letter. “We’re going to lose everything,” said another.
It gets even worse. A dear old friend — a woman who has been my close friend since the mid 1970s, a woman who never even liked Hillary Clinton much — has simply refused to speak to me since election night. Her daughter, the wife of a wealthy real estate developer, sent me hate mail election night, when she learned I had reluctantly voted for Mr. Trump.
Why are people so upset? What has Mr. Trump done that’s so awful? His choices for the Cabinet fall well within the range of the usual types — Wall Street, campaign helpers, ideological bedfellows. Despite what you may have read online, none of them has made horrible statements. None is a Klansman. None is a Nazi. They have different views from those of the ACLU, but that’s what you get in a free country.
The voters voted in a candidate with certain views. That candidate won fair and square. He gets to choose people he agrees with and who agree with him.
They need to care about who they are messing with. Many did not— Many are vanquished.
Stopped reading when he called one of the most liberal presidents in our history his hero. I won’t even bother with Nixon’s crimes.
Also let me add. There are 69 million of us and we will not put up with their shit.
I truly hope that they all just off themselves, but sadly, I know that they won't.
He gets to choose people he agrees with and who agree with him.................................. Its not about who is the standard bearer, what is most important is the people they bring in to help run the Government. Hopefully this administration will keep the cronies away, and get rid of the ones left over from the last.
The democrat brain trust has driven its reasonable group away and the remainder - it has driven them to the point of insanity. Every election is going to be this way from now on, the Far Left (and that’s what they are now) will be in a perpetual snit.
I can remember Scoop Jackson, an eminently fair and good man, a Democrat. There’s no room in this Democrat party for a Scoop Jackson OR a John F. Kennedy.
All you need to know about Dick Nixon is that Prescott Bush was his mentor.
I suggest that you refrain from posting about all topics which you know little to NOTHING whatsoever about!
Also no room for Joe Leiberman or Zell Miller. The Commie Progs have run everyone elso out of the party.

His father worked for Nixon and Stein probably saw a side of Nixon most people never did. In many respects he did remarkably well with what Kennedy and Johnson left him. A half million men bogged down and bled in an Asian civil war, rampant inflation, massed riots and burning ghettos, and an aggressive and confident Soviet Union with plans to nuke those GD Chinese. Paranoid, but in the category of one who the press and lots of others were really out to get.
We'd say, "Who are you and what have you done with Hillary?"
