Which is pathetic, because Billy Bob Thornton and Kathy Bates are pretty good actors.

Sad.

Looks like someone has picked up on the “Evil Clown” concept and decided to try to morph it into “Evil Santa,” thereby knocking the legs out of another element of western culture.

Well, I was hoping to see this one, but it apparently makes Bad Moms (which I saw) look like The Andy Griffith Show. So, no thanks.

Oh .....I expected to hate the first Bad Santa. I am guilty of laughing till I cried. It was soooo wrong in so many ways. But I laughed so much.

I expect to be relegated to the scarlet letter section of FR now.

.....Move over Laz......

I will wait till I can see the second one on video.

I saw the first on tv a while ago and wasn’t impressed. Round 2 is just background noise to me.

I thought Bad Santa was funny. Tony Cox dressing down Billy Bob’s character was hilarious in the food court scene. I’m also guilty of laughing all through Bad Grandpa too.

Second one? We’ll see. I’ll wait until it’s on Netflix or Redbox.

Nobody is going to force this guy to see the movie. Indeed, he hasn’t seen it, so how could his “review” have any meaning?

It’s not a cultural marker. It’s a movie. A profane movie, but a movie. Someday people will understand not everybody is into the holidays. Some folks lives didn’t work out in that Norman Rockwell way. For them there are movies like Bad Santa. And if you’re not one of those folks, good for you, enjoy your sappy happy holiday movies, we’re not interfering, so leave us alone as we enjoy our profane holiday movies.

When the first “Bad Santa” was released in 2003, I described Santa as a “chain-smoking, drunken, foul-mouthed, suicidal, sexual predator. He is shown soiling himself in Santa’s chair, vomiting in alleys, having sex with a woman bartender in a car, and performing anal sex on a huge woman in a dressing room.”

All that, and it was funny (and featured a great performance by the late Bernie Mac). The movie didn't hide what it was intended to be - raunchy humor for adults. No one was forced to go see the movie and it isn't going to be broadcast into anyone's home unasked. I don't understand people who object to a movie's existence simply because they personally don't like it.

I have no idea if the sequel is any good (as others have pointed out, sequels usually aren't), and I won't be going to the theater to find out, but I might watch it on PPV some time.

The first Bad Santa is unwatchable as far as I am concerned. I am not surprised however there would be a second one. I know I am out of step with large numbers of the masses and I guess that’s OK.

I saw the first one, and the only time I laughed was when Bad Santa beat up the bully kid. I’ll probably watch the second one in a year or two on free TV, but I rarely pay to see movies in theaters.
