So we need more women for the sake of having women? No - that's identity politics. The person that gets elected should be there for their character and merits, not because they belong to a special interest group or because of their genitals. It's still a sexist post.

My wife and I argue which Constitutional Amendment set in train the eventual downfall of the Republic. I say it was the 17th. She says it was the 19th.

“The person that gets elected should be there for their character and merits”

Well then, I mean, certainly Hitlery should have been elected, as she is undoubtedly qualified. /s/

Seriously, close to half the voting public does not agree with that statement. It’s just sad how far into the sewer the establishment has gotten us since the 90’s.

I think we just have too many people in politics over all. Less govt means there should be less people in politics.

What would attract women to politics...

Provide chauffers for lesser elected officials so parallel parking isn’t a needed skill.

We don’t have enough of ‘em already?

I see more women on TV as pundits and commentators, more in the campaign organizations and more of them vote.

What MORE could they possibly want?

Why?

Why must we get more of any group involved more than they want to be?

Where are they ever asking how can we get more white Christian conservative males involved with politics?

This is just sexist, assuming things about women as one big monolithic demographic.

100% agree!

The females might get more seats in the House and Senate if they would start supporting Conservative women instead of feminists.

I don’t know anything but I would like to see more honest politicians elected from an informed electorate. No mater what their race, creed or gender.

The people quoted in this article makes it clear that they only welcome rabidly liberal women in politics. I wonder how much that impacts their ability to recruit women candidates.

It is ludicrous, the way some of these liberal “feminists” point at unequal male:female representation in a profession and claim that sexism is to blame. It never occurs to them that women might not like the profession, and that is why it is difficult to recruit them to it.
