You don’t. I simply don’t associate with them. There is no rationalizing with them. They go full emotional on you and it’s the end of the conversation. I’ve seen it too many times.

I have given up on them. They usually throw hissy fits and can’t understand others have a different view to them.,
I once had a friend, well sort of anyway who went into a tirade against conservatives. I waited till they were finished and then told them that I was a conservative do you have a problem with me. Nothing from them, not a word, they just shut up and have stayed silent since.

If I hear anyone saying how it is racist to close the border down I just ask them when did it become racist to secure a border of a country, and if the border is open could it mean terrorists could come here. that usually shuts them up as they have no answer.

I see it as being similar to Ted Bundy's mother.A month or two before he was executed he started confessing to various murders. As he was doing so he was basically saying that his execution date had to be postponed so that he could get all the details out.A ploy to be sure.

However,at the very same time that her son was making all those confessions his mother gave an interview to some member of the press in which she stressed that Ted was a good boy and couldn't *possibly* have done *any* of the things he was accused of.

Same basic mentality,IMO.

Some do. I know exactly what you are talking about. But, there are some who will engage and thoughtful dialogue. I know those people, too .

I simply don’t associate with them.

Nor do I. Exposing a liberal to logic, common sense and even their own hypocrisy only results in them resorting to an negative emotional response which relieves them from having to deal with the arguments.

I have a over the top liberal brother who has never really accomplished anything in his life. He is resentful and dismissive of everything that I have done in my live (so much for nonjudgmental). At family gatherings, he goes out of his way to be arrogant, provocative and smug. It drives him crazy that I will not bite. I will not waste my time. Plus there are plenty of other family members for me to enjoy.
