My guess is minimum 291 EVs. Maybe up to 326.
If they call Florida at 7 p.m. they’re going to be wrong. The Florida panhandle is in a different time zone. Florida should be called at 8 p.m.
They didn’t when it was Bush-Gore. They called Florida for Gore at 7. Panhandle precincts, heavily conservative, would be open for another hour. Can you imagine the number of Republican voters, heading for the polls after work, who heard that Florida had already gone for Gore, turning around and just going home?
Heard 15,000 votes were lost to Bush because of that.
We’ll get early indicators from the East Coast, specifically Florida, North Carolina, New Hampshire, and Pennsylvania, then the Rust Belt states of Michigan and Ohio, which are in the Eastern time zone. Wisconsin will tell us a good bit, and then states like Colorado and New Mexico.
We should be up relatively late, but not too late.
