I worked stridently to help State Sen. Mike Crane (GA) overcome the Ricketts (Cubs owners) money that got his GOPe opponent the nomination in the 3rd Congressional District. But I’ll be damned if that keeps me from rooting for the Cubs who hadn’t made it to the WS in 71 years!!! Not everything in life needs to be viewed through the lenses of politics.
