Don’t know a great deal about Jasper Johns although I’ve seen it at the Whitney. I’m in trouble on FR for liking Pollack!

Johns is a contemporary of artist Roy Lichtenstein.
Both became hugely popular.
Johns flag painting is exquisitely crafted ——
each flag is neatly sized and is very soothing to the eye.
I also like many of Pollack’s pieces, and some of Picasso’s 2 dimensional cubist murals such as The Guernica. I enjoy Mondrian and Kandinski too.
